Amani Lovelace is a dynamic HR strategist and talent leader with experience supporting organizations across industries. She brings a unique cross-industry perspective to HR strategy — helping clients design scalable systems and inclusive solutions that place people at the center. Her expertise spans Fortune 500 tech giants, innovative startups, government agencies, arts and culture organizations, and nonprofit spaces.

As the Founder and Principal Consultant of CML Consulting & Co., Amani partners with purpose-driven organizations to optimize people operations, drive strategic hiring initiatives, and develop systems that empower employees and enrich organizations. Her expertise spans Talent Acquisition, HR Consulting, Leadership Development, DEI, and Employee Wellness, always delivered with an equity-centered and sustainable approach.

With an academic foundation in Public Administration and Global Studies, Amani brings a systems-driven, inclusive perspective to HR strategy. I worked with Amani in 2021 and 2022, where she supported our team as a Talent Partner for Research interns. Amani is very thorough in her work, kept all of us informed about the entire recruiting process, makes sure everyone completes their tasks on time (such as resume reviewing or interviewing), and ensures that all phases are completed on time. This included resume reviewing of candidates, interviewing, informational calls, making a decision, making the offer, etc.
Amani also looks for ways to improve and proactively get feedback. She went above and beyond by organizing an internal conference for Recruiting teams. She invited me and a few others to participate in a panel discussion so that recruiting and research teams can better understand each other. The questions were catered towards getting feedback on what recruiting can do better and went into detail about what the research teams are exactly looking for from their research interns as well as their pain points, so that recruiting can better meet that need from the get-go.
